The 90-Day Challenge to build new prototype ready applications is now up and running. The session, facilitated by White House Deputy CTO of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, generated twelve initial applications. Judges chose two winning concept pitches – Paddleboard.com for the transportation category and Crowd Comfort and for the building efficiency – and these teams are invited to present their solution-in-progress on the main stage of the VERGE Boston 2-day event on May 13-14.

The Boston Cleanweb Hackathon + Data Jam Challenge is a two-track prize competition to demonstrate the impact of applying information technologies to energy and resource constraints, known as the cleanweb. Entrepreneurs, developers, designers, and business professionals create web and mobile IT applications to solve some of our biggest energy and sustainability problems.

The weekend will be taking place at Greentown Labs. Strategically positioned in Boston’s newly titled Innovation District, Greentown Labs provides a convenient and easily accessible address for its resident companies – 3.5 blocks from South Station, on a high‐visibility street, and less than 1.5 blocks from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
